Oof. So, when you get distracted and let your hosting lapse, turns out they do actually end up deleting all of your website content. Unfortunately, I lost a handful of posts chronicling my first year out in the startup world – from the maddening hiring process, to being the first hire at SparkReel. From watching the changes as we grew from a team of three to a team of six (plus interns), to experiencing the company’s eventual failure. And the rollercoaster of emotions I felt as I moved onto my next journey in an industry I had literally no experience in whatsoever.

The bad news is, I lost my perspective of experiencing those things in the moment. But the good news is, I can look upon them with a completely different set of startup-tried-and-tested eyes. Which is what I promise I’ll do over the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned.
